The former National Basketball Association star appeared on CNN yesterday after President Donald Trump met with the North Korean leader Kim Jong UN for the very first time.
"Today is a great day for everybody ..." No one to see me.
"This guy wants to be around the world", Rodman said of Kim. "I'm so happy", wiping away tears from beneath a large pair of black sunglasses.
"If Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump understand and have a smooth comfortable relationship, smile, laugh, joke". "He's trying to protect his people, his honor, and everything that has to do with his country". Rodman didn't explain the conditions in detail, only mentioning that moving "ships" back from South Korea was part of them.
Cautious and serious, the two leaders, according to a body language expert Reuters spoke to, displayed signs of nerves, but after a handshake, they smiled and held each other by the arm. I had no one to hear me, no one to see me, but I knew it.
Kim has previously been accused of publicly assassinating his half brother with a nerve agent and executing his uncle by firing squad while threatening to attack the US and others with nuclear weapons.
More news: Grandma charged for transporting grandkids in dog kennelsRodman said he wants to stay out of politics, but that his attempts to establish a connection on a human level perhaps played some role in making the Trump-Kim summit possible. Rodman said Trump's secretary had called him to say "Donald Trump is so proud of you, he says "thank you". "And I believed in North Korea, and I couldn't even go home". Kept going back. I showed my loyalty and my trustworthy [sic] to this country.
Rodman previously met Un at a basketball exhibition in Pyongyang, North Korea, in February 2013.
When asked what he expected when he first visited North Korea, Rodman said he was surprised by how much he liked it.
He flew into Singapore late Monday to be present for the historic first summit between the two leaders. "But I kept my head up high, brother", he told Cuomo, who knew to keep quiet until Rodman ran out of steam. I couldn't even go home, for 30 days.
It is unknown if North Korea will be willing to put its nukes on the table in talks with the US. With tears streaking down his face and a MAGA hat atop his shaved head, former National Basketball Association great Dennis Rodman chastised Obama's "no-approach" policy, called out CNN for misrepresenting his cause of peace & championed Donald Trump while video of the Kim-Trump summit played in the background.
