The Moon won't even rise in our eastern skies until 9:06 PM, almost 4 hours after completely emerging from Earth's shadow. Thus, there is a possibility that the clouds may hide your view of the eclipse. For four hours, it will be partly in the Earth's shadow. The moon passed in front of the sun, casting a 70-mile-wide shadow.
According to Hindu beliefs, celestial bodies like the sun and moon emit negative energy during an eclipse and so some temples in India were closed to minimize any disturbance.
Unfortunately, if you live in North America, you won't be able to see the lunar eclipse in person.
But the good old British weather could ruin many people's chances of seeing the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st century.

Scientists say there are three types of lunar eclipses: total, partial and penumbral.
Billions of people across the world today are eyeing the sky tonight to witness one of the rarest yet interesting, picturesque, spectacle celestial the total lunar eclipse. The blue blood moon in January this year was the last time an eclipse occurred.
From 9.30pm to 11.13pm, the moon will be totally eclipsed.
But don't worry, even if you don't manage to find the ideal spot to see the red moon coming over the horizon, you'll still be able to get a good view once it rises in the sky.
The longest eclipse of the 20th century fell on July 16, 2000. This is why a total lunar eclipse is often referred to as a "blood moon".
