San Diego County Sheriff's deputies shot a man who fired a gun outside of the grandstand admission gate at Del Mar racetrack in Del Mar, Calif., early Sunday evening as the day's 10th race was being run and shortly before a rap concert was to begin. When he did not cease his aggression after the tasing, the sheriffs opened fire and wounded the suspect, according to witnesses.
Elizarraras was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla and as of Monday, was listed in stable condition and is expected to survive. A video of the incident that was posted on Twitter records the sounds of several shots being fired before a man falls to the ground. Commentators screamed "there's gunfire at the track", before abandoning their posts and fleeing.More news: Coca-Cola acquires coffee chain Costa for £3.9bn
