First, let me re-iterate that these aren't official photos or renders of the new iPad; even if they're based on an original CAD design for the iPad, the final version of the device could still look different.
There is just a little over a week to go until Apple's official event (slated for September 12) where the brand will reveal its newest devices, but the appearance on the web of unofficial renders of what is claimed to be a new iPad have fans trying to piece together the features and functions it will offer.
Besides a notch, another thing missing is supposedly a headphone jack, but the tablet compensates with 4 speakers, one on each corner.

This obviously echoes the design of the iPhone X, which dispensed with the Home button and debuted a new all-screen design previous year. It is also believed that Apple will ditch the home button for at least some iPad models, favoring instead the same gestures mechanic featured on the X.
There are also reports that Apple wasn't able to solve the problem of Face ID not working in landscape mode. If the TrueDepth camera will make an appearance, support for Animoji will also be offered.
Whether or not this will change in the future remains to be seen. That should help keep prices lower than if Apple went with an OLED.
Although Apple has vowed to fix the problem free of charge, it comes at a very bad time for the tech giant, which is preparing to release a new gadget called the iPhone XS. While the standard iPad tablet got a new refresh earlier this year, the "Pro" model hasn't been updated since June 2017.
