But Gordon, who was not available to the media on Wednesday, has played just 11 games over the last five seasons while he struggled with substance-abuse issues that landed him on an indefinite suspension for nearly three seasons. "These meetings and the playbook - I think that's all that he's going to have his hands full, just like anybody coming in", Hightower said.
As he does that - with his Gillette Stadium locker directly next to Tom Brady's - All-Pro Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowksi had some pretty simple advice for his new teammate.
Gordon's status will be one to watch throughout the week.
