The actor did not just describe the ordeal, but she has also levelled allegations against those involved - actor Nana Patekar, producer Sami Siddiqui, director Rakesh Sarang and choreographer Ganesh Acharya. "There were 50-100 people on set with me [at that time]..."
Tanushree has also called out other big names from the industry - Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth, for working with Nana despite knowing that he has a history of assaulting women. The actress has alleged that Nana touched her inappropriately and sent goons on her and her family back in the year 2008 while she was shooting for a special dance number with the actor for 2009 Bollywood film Horn "OK" Pleasss.
Patekar, who had remained unavailable for comment since the news broke, told Mirror Now, "What can I do about it? This was the whole harassment situation going on", she said in an interview. Despite the fact that members of the media were present on set, no one stood by her and the actress was left to fend for herself.More news: Second Kavanaugh Accuser Willing To Testify
Recounting the incident and its aftermath, she claimed, "When I tried to escape they called the media, they called some people to mob lynch and attack my auto". And now, the actress has come out to claim that Nana Patekar had tried misbehaving with her during the dance and had tried to grab her and push her.
She had also alleged that the "MNS goons" once attacked her auto with her parents inside it.
She added, "The entire industry saw what happened but there was not one word of condemnation from anybody". Elaborating on the incident she experienced with him on the sets of Horn OK Please, Tanushree added, "Post the incident on the sets of Horn OK Please, Nana Patekar called up this political party who has a reputation of lynching and causing damages on the sets". Whatever people want to say, they can say. You can't get away with this behaviour. "I was attacked by a political party at the behest of Nana Patekar". I want them to suffer the consequences of their actions. "But I will continue doing my work". So in the midst of all the controversy, the actor is shooting this multi-starrer comedy. When the reporter asked him if he was exploring the legal route, he said, "Will see what I can do legally. But if something has happened, it is always sad and people should investigate", he stated.
