According to a report in BoxofficeIndia.com, the Shankar directorial collected Rs 24 crore nett on its third day on Saturday, taking its total three days collection to Rs 62 crore nett which is reportedly the highest for an Akshay Kumar film.
Rajinikanth's ambitious sci-fi saga 2.0 has been one of the most anticipated films of 2018. The film now stands at the total of 63.25 crores (Hindi version). In TN as a whole, the film has grossed close to 18 CR which is Rajini's 2nd best opener in the state below Kabali, but Shankar's career best. Trade website Box Office India said the film was performing well in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Punjab, Bihar and Central India, all traditional territories where dubbed South Indian films struggle, thanks to the presence of Akshay Kumar, who plays the antagonist. The film has released worldwide on November 29. Film is doing good business but to get a HIT tag it should have created HAVOC at the BO, unfortunately it is not happening.
