Less than three hours after the Hulu-plugging football egg was posted on the Instagram account, it had more than 1.5 million likes.
Despite the egg's huge success - cracking Kylie Jenner's Instagram record and capturing the attention of the entire world - Godfrey, Khan-Whelan and Brown never expected things to go this far.
However, it still wasn't really clear who was behind it, or why they did it.
The world-record egg, which has 10 million followers and has been liked over 52 million times, appeared in a Super Bowl ad promoting mental health awareness. Eventually, the egg breaks, identifying the pressure of social media as the cause.
"If you're struggling too, talk to someone", the video continues. But others have applauded the clip for highlighting the importance of mental health, especially when combined with online activities.More news: Chinese New Year celebrations usher in Year of the Pig
"The wait is over", the photo's caption read.
In an advert broadcast on USA streaming platform Hulu, the egg was framed as an emblem for those struggling with mental health battles. Now, its true objective has been revealed - to spread awareness on mental health.
"Recently I've started to crack", the video states. The egg's move in spreading a positive message with its number of younger follows is impressive, to say the least. If you're feeling the pressure, visit talkingegg.info to find out more.
